The Management Trainee program is structured to help high-potential candidates develop practical banking knowledge through a combination of classroom learning, on-the-job training, mentorship and exposure to different banking functions.
Participants will progressively build their understanding of banking operations, customer service, sales, relationship management, compliance, credit and business development while working toward taking on greater responsibilities based on their performance and successful completion of the trainee program.
Selected candidates will be expected to participate in training while supporting various branch and banking activities. Responsibilities include:
- Participate actively in structured classroom and on-the-job training.
- Gain practical knowledge of branch banking operations and procedures.
- Support account opening, customer onboarding and documentation processes.
- Assist customers with banking products, services and account-related enquiries.
- Support customer acquisition and relationship management activities.
- Generate leads and promote appropriate banking products and services.
- Assist with deposit mobilization, cross-selling and business development initiatives.
- Support branch officers in maintaining accurate customer and transaction records.
- Assist in processing banking transactions in line with approved procedures.
- Learn and apply the bank’s policies, operational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support compliance with KYC, AML, risk management and internal control procedures.
- Conduct customer follow-ups and support customer retention initiatives.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of assigned activities.
- Participate in branch sales campaigns and customer engagement activities.
- Work collaboratively with different departments to achieve branch and organizational objectives.
- Demonstrate continuous learning, professionalism, integrity and accountability.
- Take on progressively higher responsibilities based on performance and successful completion of the trainee program.
